Here’s a sample of a template design starring Miss Cora in a recent session.
Some of my favorite sessions to do are babies 1 and under. It is so fun to watch them grow and develop and it amazes me how they change in just three months from session to session. As parents, sometimes it’s hard to notice the changes because we see them everyday. Believe me … it seems like just yesterday my 5 year old was just learning to crawl like Cora … and now I look at him and wonder “where did my baby go?” The point is, make sure you capture those special stages that first year and then capture them every year after. It may seem like overkill at the time, but trust me, you will appreciate it when they are older and you wonder what happened to your baby.
How often should you have your baby’s picture taken the first year? Traditionally it’s every three months (Newborn, 3, 6, 9, 1 year then 18 months and 2 years). We suggest at a MINIMUM, do a newborn session, 6 months, 1 year and 2 years. These are key developmental stages where they seem to grow leaps and bounds from one session to the next. Don’t miss these opportunities since they are only little once!
